RESULTATS du Concours International d’Interprétation Musicale consacré au TUBA

Le Concours International d’Interprétation Musicale de Ville d’AVRAY était consacré cette année au Tuba (12
et 13 mars). Le jury a retenu 5 candidats pour l’épreuve finale publique, sur les 27 inscrits représentant 13
nationalités. Les résultats sont les suivants :

Premier Prix, Prix du Conseil Général des Hauts de Seine : Jean XHONNEUX (Belgique)
Deuxième Prix, Prix de la Commune de Ville d’Avray : Ricardo CARVALHOSO (Portugal)
Troisième Prix, Prix du Facteur d’Instruments Miraphone : Valentin MAURON (Suisse)

Le Jury était composé de Gérard BUQUET, professeur au CNSMP, compositeur, Hans NICKEL, tuba solo de
l’Orchestre de la WDR de Cologne et professeur aux Conservatoires de Maastricht et de Dusseldorf, Philippe FRITSCH,
professeur de Saxhorn au CNSMP et soliste de la Garde Républicaine, Jean-Louis PETIT, chef d’orchestre et
compositeur.

Le public, invité à voter pour son candidat, a désigné Jean XHONNEUX Prix du Public.

Le concours international d’interprétation 2012 sera consacré à la direction d’orchestre d’harmonie et le concours 2013 au quatuor de
cuivres.

Le concours est soutenu par le Conseil Général des Hautes de Seine, par la Communauté d’Agglomération
GPSO (Grand Paris Seine Ouest) et par la Commune de Ville d’Avray, en partenariat avec les Editions
ARMIANE et FORTIN et le facteur d’Instruments MIRAPHONE.

RESULTS International Competition of Musical Interpretation of Ville d'Avray devoted to TUBA

The International Competition of Musical Interpretation of Ville d'Avray was dedicated this year's Tuba (12 and
13 March). The jury selected 5 candidates for the final round public, of the 27 enrolled, representing 13
nationalities. The results are as follows:

First Prize, Prix du Conseil Général des Hauts de Seine Xhonneux Jean (Belgium)
Second Prize, Prix de la Commune de Ville d'Avray: CARVALHOSO Ricardo (Portugal)
Third Prize, the factor Miraphone Instruments: Valentin MAURON (Switzerland)

The jury was composed of Gerard Buquet, professor at Paris Conservatoire, the composer, Hans NICKEL, tuba
solo with the Orchestra of the WDR in Cologne and a professor at the conservatories of Maastricht and
Dusseldorf, Philippe Fritsch, professor at Paris Conservatoire Saxhorn and soloist of the Republican Guard,
Jean-Louis Petit, conductor and composer.

The public invited to vote for his candidate, has appointed John Xhonneux Award.

The international competition of 2012 will be devoted to interpreting the direction of wind band competitions
and 2013 at the brass quartet.

The competition is supported by the Conseil Général des Hauts de Seine, the Community of Agglomeration
GPSO (Greater Paris Seine Ouest) and the Commune of Ville d'Avray, in partnership with Editions Armiane
and Fortin factor Instruments MIRAPHONE.
